WORK-BASED LEARNING & TRAINING

Work-based learning is an important opportunity to acquire hard skills necessary to work in many fields.  This training can be critical for those who do not go to a post-secondary education program from high school.

Also see the "Internship" page for additional work-based learning opportunities for those attending an educational institution.

PRE-APPRENTICESHIPS & APPRENTICESHIPS

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeship is an earn-while-you-learn method of starting and growing into a career. An apprentice works under a journeyman to learn a trade while on the job and getting paid. This is combined with related classroom instruction.

Apprenticeships can take anywhere from one-to-five years to complete depending on the trade and the prior experience of each individual apprentice.
